Drafting and Engineering – Design Assist
Façade and daylight systems are an essential part of the building system. It has to be done right. EA brings the system together. A typical façade is built on the outside of the structure. An example commercial building would have steel stud, sheathing and air-vapour barrier built by others. Then EA would design girts, insulation, breathable membranes, fasteners and panels. The system would be designed for live and dead loads, the aesthetics, proper ventilation etc.
Pre-proposal / pre-tender design
At minimum EA will work with you to detail the job, write the specification and help you put out your tender package. For larger more complex jobs, you can hire EA to complete an engineered design for a tender package, which can help ensure your entire system is going to work and creates a level playing field for a public tender. We call this process Design Assist
Post-proposal / post-tender design
When EA wins the project in partnership with an Installer, or with Praxy Cladding Corp. we are dedicated to the success of the job. Our drafting and engineering services include engineer stamped shop drawings. Architects are blown away with our thoroughness and user friendliness of the shop drawings. They become part of the on-site service and are used daily by the installation team. Many others hand in manufacturer’s standards – we design your building.
Site Services
You can purchase as much or as little on-site service as you feel you need. Our site supervisors and senior managers are dedicated to your success. If regular onsite support and training is required, then a billable service can be arranged with the installation team. If a little coaching at startup is needed, EA will be pleased to visit the site and help out.
On larger jobs, EA will attend regular site meetings, to ensure proper coordination.
