Summary: Blythdale House was originally conceived as a house clad in stone, but due to budget constraints, EIFS was selected for the three less prominent sides of the dwelling. A few months later the Architect came across literature on SuperPanel and immediately recognized it as an excellent substitute for EIFS. The Architect and the Owner also realized that SuperPanel was not only a complementary material for the stone, both in colour and texture, but was also a very durable product.

SuperPanel was used to clad over two thirds of the wall surfaces, including all of the north wall, and parts of the east, west and south walls. The panels are especially practical adjacent to the high traffic areas around the rear patio and barbeque. The SuperPanels were mounted on galvanized 'z' channels with prefinished screws, incorporating open seams between each panel ensuring a proper rain screen envelope.

Installation was accomplished by Collaborative Ventures, new to the product. Minimal training was needed to get the skilled trades to successfully install the product.

Thanks to Francis Lapointe and Collaborative Ventures.
